Captured near Arosa in Switzerland, The Curious One came together during a quiet lunch break beside a tree. While I was sitting and watching, this red squirrel slowly moved closer and closer, driven by curiosity.

I noticed the light behind it and waited for the moment when it would look forward from exactly the right position. When it did, the backlight caught the edges of its fur and illuminated its ears and whiskers, separating the squirrel beautifully from the dark background.

What makes this image special to me is the combination of patience, curiosity and light. A completely ordinary moment suddenly became something almost cinematic.


 

Print Details

Each photograph is produced as a premium Alu Dibond print on a 3 mm matte aluminium composite panel. The high resolution seven colour UV printing process delivers exceptional sharpness, fine detail and rich tonal depth, while the matte surface reduces distracting reflections.

The frameless design creates a clean, contemporary gallery look. A concealed aluminium profile is professionally mounted on the back, allowing the artwork to float approximately 1 cm from the wall.
