Captured in Tanzania’s Serengeti, Son of the Serengeti came together while I was watching a pride of lions resting beneath two large bushes. For a long time, almost nothing happened, until a young male finally stood up and walked directly through the narrow opening between them.

The moment felt unusually intimate. Surrounded by dense vegetation and moving straight towards me, he seemed less like a distant subject and more like part of a world I had briefly been allowed to enter. That feeling of closeness, of being inside the pride’s environment rather than simply observing it, is what makes this image so special to me.

 

 

Print Details

Each photograph is produced as a premium Alu Dibond print on a 3 mm matte aluminium composite panel. The high resolution seven colour UV printing process delivers exceptional sharpness, fine detail and rich tonal depth, while the matte surface reduces distracting reflections.

The frameless design creates a clean, contemporary gallery look. A concealed aluminium profile is professionally mounted on the back, allowing the artwork to float approximately 1 cm from the wall.
