Captured in South Africa, Eyes of the Bush is one of the most personal photographs in my collection. I had imagined an image like this long before I ever had the opportunity to create it.

While watching this lioness after she had brought down a wildebeest, dense vegetation made photography extremely difficult. I kept searching for a small opening through the bush until, for a brief moment, everything aligned. She looked directly towards me through the narrow gap and I captured the image I had hoped for.

With the light fading quickly, it became a race against time. That combination of anticipation, patience and timing makes Eyes of the Bush one of my absolute favourite photographs.

 

 

Print Details

Each photograph is produced as a premium Alu Dibond print on a 3 mm matte aluminium composite panel. The high resolution seven colour UV printing process delivers exceptional sharpness, fine detail and rich tonal depth, while the matte surface reduces distracting reflections.

The frameless design creates a clean, contemporary gallery look. A concealed aluminium profile is professionally mounted on the back, allowing the artwork to float approximately 1 cm from the wall.
